Guidelines for the Identifier Element

Identifer

Element Description

In this field, an identifier (image number) is given to the image that is unique to that particular image. This unique identifier (image number) can then be used for referencing or linking to the specific image when needed.

Required?

This element is required.

Repeatable?

This element is not repeatable; there can only be one unique identifier (image number) per image.

Guidelines for Creation of Content

This where your element's indexing guideline is written out. Whenever possible, you must write out a step-by-step data entry procedure including where to obtain the data for each image. (NOTE, not all elements are amenable to specific data entry procedures; we will discuss in class.)
