Guidelines for Creation of Content

  • The subject element will be expressed by using a controlled vocabulary. Subject headings should be selected from the provided dropdown menu.
  • The minimum number of subject headings is three. This includes one heading for each university team participating in the game depicted in the photo, and at least one other subject heading describing the action occurring in the photo.
  • Indexers should be as specific as possible when describing what the photo is about. The Notes section below contains links to glossaries of football terminology. If a term is needed that is not listed in the vocabulary, the indexer can contact Carol Vinzant or Ben Steck. We will contact the indexer when the appropriate heading has been added to the list of terms.
